Yes — moissanite is a genuine gemstone, not glass and not cubic zirconia. It was first discovered in a meteor crater, and the moissanite used in jewelry today is lab-grown to the same chemical composition as the natural stone. It's its own stone with its own properties — and in several measurable ways, it outperforms diamond.

Will the stone cloud, yellow, or lose its sparkle?

No — this is what sets moissanite apart. Unlike cubic zirconia, which hazes over time, moissanite is chemically stable. Its sparkle is structural, not surface-level, so daily wear won't dull it. The stone you receive will look identical in ten years.

Can I wear it every day?

Yes — our moissanite pieces are built for daily wear. Showering, washing hands, and everyday activity won't affect them. Moissanite's hardness means it won't scratch or dull over time, and our 18k gold and rhodium vermeil settings are plated five times thicker than standard. Avoid prolonged soaking in chlorinated or salt water, which can affect the metal over time.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. All our pieces are hypoallergenic and nickel-free. The base is S925 sterling silver — one of the safest metals for sensitive skin — finished in either 18k gold vermeil or rhodium vermeil. If you have a severe metal sensitivity, we'd recommend the rhodium finish specifically — rhodium is one of the most unreactive metals available, making it the gentlest option for skin.

What if something comes loose or goes wrong?

Every Mondays Made piece comes with a 2-year warranty. If a stone loosens, a clasp breaks, or anything isn't right, contact us and we'll make it right. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, no questions asked.

How do colored moissanite stones get their color?

The stones are white D/VVS1 moissanite, plated to achieve the color. This is how we're able to offer six distinct colorways while maintaining the same stone quality across the collection.

How do I find my ring size?

We recommend measuring at the end of the day when fingers are slightly larger. You can refer to our size guide on each product page. If you're between sizes, size up.
