Sourcing

Loose pink gemstones with loupe

Our jewelry pieces feature gemstones from around the world. We partner with family-owned factories in India, Thailand and China who share our commitment to quality and ethical sourcing. Each gemstone is carefully selected for its cut, color and clarity.

OUR MATERIALS

How They Are Made

Jewelry Molding Process

  Molding

To create each jewelry piece, a prototype is made using reusable wax. This serves as the foundation for production. A mold is created, after which molten 925 sterling silver is carefully poured in. Once the metal has cooled and solidified, the jewelry's raw form is delicately removed from its mold for further refinement.

Jewelry Polishing Stage

  Filing & Polishing

Skilled artisans file, polish and refine jewelry using various polishing compounds and buffing wheels to eliminate all scratches and surface imperfections until a smooth, shiny finish is achieved.

Jewelry Plating Stage

  Plating

Our jewelry is designed to last you through the years. That's why we place great emphasis and rigor on our plating process.

Our gold and rose gold pieces are electroplated with 18k solid gold to a thickness of 2.5 to 3 microns. Our silver pieces has a rhodium plating that is at least 5 times thicker than regular S925 silver jewelry.

Jewelry Setting and Assembly stage

  Assembly & Setting

For bracelets and necklaces, chain links and findings are seamlessly joined using soldering or laser techniques.

Expert craftsmen then use different setting techniques (prong, bezel, pave) to precisely place each gemstone according to design specifications.

Final polishing is done to ensure all surfaces are smooth and shiny before the production process is concluded.

Quality Control

As part of our commitment to quality, every jewelry piece undergoes our rigorous quality control process.

We partner with accredited testing agencies to conduct routine testing of our metal finishes, to ensure that the electroplating consistently meets our thickness specifications.

Our QC team meticulously inspects every piece to ensure they are free from any manufacturing defects before they are shipped to you.

Our inspection checklist include:
  • Assessment of gemstone quality (e.g. inclusions, chipped edges)
  • Review of workmanship (e.g. scratches, excessive glue, misalignment of stones)
  • Pull test on chain and closing system
