18k Gold Vermeil
Our gold jewelry is crafted in 18k gold vermeil (pronounced "ver-may") - this means it is:
- Made with high-quality 925 sterling silver as the base metal;
- Electroplated with a layer of 18k champagne gold;
- Thickness of 2.5-3 microns (at least 5 to 10 times thicker than regular "gold-plated" jewelry and 100 times thicker than "flash-plated" jewelry);
- Finished with a layer of protective coating
For an added touch of elegance, our gold finish is customized to a subtle and delicate champagne gold hue. This shade adds a timeless charm and complements all skin tones.
18k Rose Gold Vermeil
Our rose gold jewelry is crafted in 18k rose gold vermeil (pronounced "ver-may") - this means it is:
- Made with high-quality 925 sterling silver as the base metal;
- Electroplated with a layer of 18k rose gold;
- Thickness of 2.5-3 microns (at least 5 to 10 times thicker than regular "gold-plated" jewelry and 100 times thicker than "flash-plated" jewelry);
- Finished with a layer of protective coating
S925 Rhodium Vermeil
Our silver pieces are made with sterling silver (also known as S925) plated with a thick layer of rhodium (at least 5 times thicker than regular sterling silver in the industry) and finished with a layer of protective coating.
Sterling silver is an alloy composed of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals. With its high silver content, sterling silver is a precious metal that holds value. As pure silver alone is delicate and prone to bending or breaking, the addition of other metals strengthens it, making it perfect for creating durable jewelry.
Rhodium, a member of the Platinum family, is the whitest precious metal and is highly resistant to tarnish and corrosion. By plating sterling silver with rhodium, our jewelry receives additional protection against tarnish and scratches. The rhodium plating also enhances shine and reflectivity due to its extreme reflectiveness.
